Artist Roster > Odyssey
Robert Colon, better known as Odyssey, is a lifelong product of Manhattan’s Upper East Side and a true veteran of the city’s club architecture. His background is a deep-seated archive of Disco, Funk, Latin, and Soul—the raw materials that formed the backbone of the NYC underground. A former member of the Digital Konfusion crew, Robert earned his reputation as one of the city’s most versatile technicians, moving effortlessly between the gritty breakbeat energy of the warehouse scene and the sophisticated house grooves of legendary rooms like The Shelter, Twilo, and Centro Fly.
On Republic Music, Odyssey brings this multi-genre fluency to the forefront, most notably through his work on the Mike Hess "Bella" EP. His production style reflects a career spent playing alongside the genre’s most respected programmers, focusing on a seamless blend of rhythmic agility and melodic warmth. Rather than sticking to a single lane, Robert leans into his ability to mix House, Electro, and Breakbeats with a fluidity that only comes from decades of frontline experience. He remains an essential link to the versatile, "all-city" spirit of New York, prioritizing the kind of technical precision that keeps the label's sound rooted in the tradition of NYC's authentic underground.
